The newly designed run course leads the athletes from T2 at Zurich Landiwiese through the „Badeanstalt Wollishofen“ out of town. On a level with the “Rote Fabrik” there is the first turning point. Back in the city at Zurich Bürkliplatz, the athletes turn into the world-famous Bahnhofstrasse. After about 800 metres there is a right turn.
Via the picturesque Rennweg and the historical Strehl- and Storchengasse the participants reach the Fraumünster Church, which is famous for their Chagall windows. After crossing the Münsterplatz, the athletes have to run an additional short loop round the town house before they cross the Münsterbrücke. Via Limmatquai the course leads the athletes back to the Lake of Zurich down the lakeside promenade to the turning point near Hafen Riesbach. Back at Zurich Bellevue they have to cross the Quaibrücke. After passing the Bürkliplatz and the Arboretum the course leads the athletes back to the starting point. There is a total of four laps to finish.
